Domjulien "Domnus Julianus, Dompjulien" dates back a very long time. The commune is mentioned in a bull from Alexandre III in 1179. In the 15th century, it was owned by the De Ville family in Illon, which Coat of Arms was found on a crest placed in the keystone of the church. |
On the death of Antoine de Ville, Lord of Domjulien, his widow, to meet his last will, built in the church in 1425 a chapel dedicated to Saint-Antoine. |
